I think the big temptation is to believe you know more than you actually do. For me, that was the problem. Then I got confused on one issue, and finally a cat got involved.
But mostly I got ahead of myself, not double checking.
One of the things that got better was the finish!! Ken Cierp turned me onto the Deft products, and they worked great. Now I'm going to follow his new procedures, especially that new filler he's talking about. The other was my bracing for the top. I had great help from Steve Kinnaird on that part.
Danged cat. I still hate that s*******.
