Tony, when I was brushing and got the ridges, I would take a fresh razor blade, put a burr on it like a scraper blade, tape the sharp corners, and LIGHTLY drag the bur down the brush ridges. You are not drragging hard enough to really bite into the finish, but basically shaving the ridge down until it is no thicker than the thickness of the tape you used to guard the corners of the blade. I use the same procedure if I overspray and get a run. Makes level sanding a cinch after that.
