First and foremost there is zero chance that the radius of your curved sanding block is exactly the same radius as the finger-board plus the frets. Second -- when you start going 1st to 20th you'll shave all the frets along the edges whether they need it or not -- because that's the part of the block that touches first, most times, this is do to the very dimensional variances you are trying to correct. Back at you --- what kind of sanding block would you use if your fret board had a compound radius which is popular today on electrics?
