With your braces by the time they are at the lower sound hole support brace they have lost about 7/8 of the strength from the starting height. The stiffness of a brace is proportional to the cube of its height. Half the height about 1/8 the strength.
At this point, short of a fix, I guess I'll have to see what happens...?

Re-doing the tones bars brought out the ring in the top (moreso than before). It sounds good in all spots. I was using the pic above my top as a rough guideline, save for the lower X-braces. The tips of the T-bars closest to the rim look out of place. I need to knock them down a bit.

I was hoping to close the box up on this one over the weekend, but that's not going to happen. The OM-DB I've been working on I just about ready for level sanding & I'd like to get back to it this coming week if at all possible.

What can be used as a fiber strip that goes on top of the Truss Rod before you glue the fretboard on...? I'm ready to glue the fretboard on the neck, but I'm lacking that fiber strip that fills that space...
