Somewhere on this forum or another, there is a procedure for drilling and positioning location pins in the neck blank and fretboard to facilitate the removal and re positioning of the fretboard until such a time as its glued in situ. The martin kits come with these installed.
Does anyone have a link to it ?

Easy fix
Set the fretboard on the neck and tape securely drill 2 small holes on the fret board at a fret slot. Use a brad nail to work as a register pin. Nip so they are under the fret tang.
