I want to be sure I'm going at this right -
I have the neck angle right, I have the center line right and I have the elevation to within a skosh of the top. The fit is tight everywhere except the bottom of the tenon pulls away about 1/32" from the body. Do I need to slightly shim the lower end of the tenon or do something else to fix this. I think the angle on my sanding stick is wrong, 83* instead of 80*. Is that right? Thanks.

Re: Dovetail fitting problem
read your chalk but you should be about 90 as that angle is a 9 degree. A shim can be used also
