My new guitar

Post by Oval Soundhole »

This is my latest guitar, a combination of an OM (15" lower bout) and a jumbo style guitar. Sure you could call it small jumbo, but I don't like oxymorons :D

It ships off to California on Friday.

EIRW back and sides
Lutz top
mahogany neck
ebony bridge and fingerboard
herringbone purfling and rosette
All HHG construction
Delmar pick guard

Soundclip? How is this:

He is wearing a really...how do you say...strange shirt in the video, but to each his own, right?
Nice guitar Brian. I am sure the new owner will be happy. This is the "Give-Away" guitar, right?
I have the worst fricken memory. If it is, you should explain what you did to the good folks over here. I think for a guy who wants to become a full time guitar builder, it was a great idea.

Nice job. Pretty adventurous bracing there - how thick is the top?

Darren,
The cedar topped dread I just finished is braced the same way. See?

I need to post a sound clip of this guitar so you all can hear it. It sounds pretty dang good.
