Invitation to display in museum

Post by Diane Kauffmds »

I'm honored to receive an invitation to display one of my guitars in the Bascom Center for the Arts, in Highlands, North Carolina. One of my guitars will be 1 of 15 displayed, from West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina.

The display tells the story of the meaning of instrument making of musical instruments and their local and global significance.

I'm going to display my quilted mahogany OM (I think). But, I've never really liked the fretboard, so I'm going to redesign the fretboard. So, I'll be blogging the creation of the new fretboard.

I had to redo the leaves and flowers. You can see a lot of mistakes in person. The board will have to be right before displayed. I've never really liked it. The original colors were awful and the fix isn't the greatest.
