I'm slowly working on this guitar. The back and top are joined. The back is braced and on the sides. I've cut the soundport in the side, but I've not finished it yet. I've braced the top.

My soundports are just boring ovals. Might have to steal your idea. Different design of course.-Bob

Bob, you can use any of my designs. This is just an Irish symbol that I drew and cut out.

I've gotten busy on this build. I've closed the box and installed the purfling and bindings.

The purfling is Celtic purflex. Purflex is tricky to work. The design is only 1/32" high, so it's very easy to sand right into it. Instead of going through the steps in this blog, I'm going to list it as a subject in Building Procesures.

I still have to finish the soundport
