Progress on the volute
I still feel a bit uncertain about what I'm doing with the volute, but I think I'm beginning to get it sorted out. The part that extends onto the headstock is looking pretty good. I still need to figure out how I'm going to blend it into the neck.

It's looking really good Steve. You'll get it sorted out and done.

The volute progresses
The volute is looking pretty good. It still needs to be blended into the neck a bit better than it is, but I think there is hope. The diamond point is well-defined and the center line is reasonably crisp.

Binding channels cut
Yesterday I cut the grooves for the binding, top and bottom. The African blackwood binding strips are bent. I still need to cut the purfling groove on top.
Bending the blackwood strips made them ooze an incredible amount of resin. I'll have to clean that off prior to gluing.

? Internet sequence ?
I'm sort-of copying an old Bruno guitar I have that belonged to one of my aunts. I traced the body shape, made the mold, made a template for the side profile, etc. I'm not following anything, except what is hopefully good guitar building practice that the luthier I'm taking "lessons" from is teaching me.

What I meant was, someone showing the sequence in photos - John Greven did a band saw version and others have showed the steps.

Although I've watched several of John's (our host) videos, I'm mainly relying on my friend Carter, the luthier, to show and tell me what to do.
