Glad the damage was not horrible. Some of the pros here could probably give you some great tips to make it invisible.....I haven't gotten there yet, thought with all the damage my guitars have received, you'd think I would have.

After 37 years of living with 1 or more cats, our household is currently cat free. I do miss having them around but... Finding out I really did not have seasonal allergies, our new furniture looking like what we buy. Watching the look of horrow while we describe what it means to house with the cats...

David it looks like your guitar is fixable without major surgery, unlike other cat stories that I have read on this forum.

Last night I did the minor repairs, sprayed some lacquer, will spray again today, wait a couple of days and go through the grits all the way to the polish,. The new nut is made so I'm ready to wrap this thing up.

I'm really bored and not able to do much, so please excuse me if this is a rather unexciting post. Chomping at the bit to get back in the shop. I found something that I could do that would be considered light duty. I polished the FB and the bridge with Dr. Ducks AxWax. Here are some before pictures.

I like the Dr's stuff too. It really does make a difference in the appearance.....dark and rich.
Don't over do it now!
