John, where do you get felt sanding blocks?

I got mine at woodcraft or rockler: I wrap them with sanding paper and use them as sanding pads. I do not use powders with them.

I have some, forgot where I got them from, 1/2" X 2" X 4", very soft, should work good on neck.

Pore fill as good as it is going to get. Completely overcast so not that great of pictures.

Just Z-Poxy pore filled, 5 coats, 3 full strength, 2 thinned with alcohol. More than necessary, trying to get that ultra smooth final layer. Scuffing the surface now in preparation for the rattle cans.

All scuffed up, wiped with DNA and ready for the first coat of lacquer.

With that epoxy finish, it doesn't look like it need lacquer. I'm anxious to see how this turns out.
