I got mine at woodcraft or rockler: I wrap them with sanding paper and use them as sanding pads. I do not use powders with them.

I have some, forgot where I got them from, 1/2" X 2" X 4", very soft, should work good on neck.

Just Z-Poxy pore filled, 5 coats, 3 full strength, 2 thinned with alcohol. More than necessary, trying to get that ultra smooth final layer. Scuffing the surface now in preparation for the rattle cans.

With that epoxy finish, it doesn't look like it need lacquer. I'm anxious to see how this turns out.
Looking great so far.
