Re: StewMac 000 kit build so far
I bought this book from Mr Cory, read it front to back twice before ever purchasing my kit, very helpful.

I did not use any curved clamping cauls on the top, we'll see if this was a mistake when I get to setting the neck angle. I'm having a little bit of anxiety about getting the neck angle perfect.

I wasn't shy with the Titebond on any of the gluing.

Gluing the top to the sides felt like a big step.

I did make curved clamping cauls for the back. Sanded a 2x4 then sliced it into 4 pcs.

Just a different angle of the slotted straight edge used for getting the center supports in line. It was suggested on the StewMac video. I thought all of the instruction included in the kit was excellent. The blueprint and especially the velum bracing pattern were/are both incredibly helpful.

Body glued together, very exciting. Yes that is my dining room table, my Sweetheart has been incredibly patient and supportive thankfully.

Taking a router to my guitar was borderline horrifying. I found a dremel stand on Craigslist for $20 and modified it to hold my trim router. I removed the spring that previously returned the dremel to it's highest point. This allowed the router to move up and down freely with the contour of the guitar. Basically it's a poor man's binding router jig.

This is the best/easiest router jig I could come up with for routing the slot for the plastic end trim.
