Not to revive a dead thread, I do want to provide an update to the development of the sound quality of the Blues Creek class guitar. Quite a few discussions have occured recently in the forum about how a guitar sounds on stringing and then later. We are having beautiful Indian summer weather today, so after 6 months in its case I decided to bring the guitar outside to play. It's just fantastic; rich balanced timbre every bit an equal to any of the dreads I've played at the Martin factory. If I haven't said it enough, thanks again, John, for the building experience and the end result!

Ten years hence and the guitar continues to mature, sounding even better. The binding we used has experienced some shrinkage around the end plate/strap button. As a result, with some exceptions, I'm using wood now instead of celluloids for bindings & purfling. -d.
