Electric charcoal lighter inside the pipe. Gets hot enough to ignite charcoal! That is what I put in mine.

I bent the sides for the honduran rosewood build successfully. They're highly figured and the HRW breaks as easily as BRW, so I used 2 side bending straps that I bought from stewmac. I used one on each side and I lightly spritzed the sides with water. I used an iron that I picked up off of eBay that has a temperature readout. It came from China, but it seems to be a nice iron.
