Thanks johnnparchem. I like the blind slots, and since I have a milling machine they aren't particularly difficult to do. I played around with a lot of ideas for the shape of the end. I finally settled on the ogee curve because I did an Internet search for guitar headstock images and nobody else seemed to be using it. Since then I've come across at least one other instance of it being used, so I can't claim that it's my unique signature. The shape is uncommon though.

The prototype for my 2nd guitar project is an old Bruno parlor guitar. It has blind slots and a form of ogee curve end, so that inspired the design as well. There's a picture of it in the blog about that project. download/file.php?id=7511&t=1

Got to see and hear this guitar in person. Maingeezer did a great job. Plays very well and using the local woods adds to the character . A great guitar for any player.
