I have the 1st string hole drilled and the 6th string hole drilled for the bridge. I used a 3/16 bit. Should I drill the rest with with the same bit? Are the bridge pin holes all the same size in other words.

yes and then the hole gets tapered for the pins. If you just drill a hole , the bottom of the hole won't let the ball end full on the plate.

If you have never done it before, approach tapering the holes VERY slowly as it is easy to go too far with just a revolution to much on the tool.

What kind of tool do you use to taper the holes?

A reamer is the usual way. Check StewMac for examples. Make sure you get the taper you need and they do work fast; go slowly and check often.
