I have almost finished my stewmac 000 kit and am now considering a scratch build guitar, but i have no means of bending the sides. Does anyone know anyone in the UK that would bend tyhe sides for me?

Thanks

Steve

It is possible to bend the sides freehand using a hot pipe and a spray bottle of water. It takes some practice to get the hang of doing it, but if you can't find anybody with a side bender, it might be an option to consider.

The hot pipe can be as simple as a piece of pipe with a propane torch firing through it.

It certainly is! Ive been making bespoke furniture professionally for 35 years and im still struggling because its so different.

Got most of the frets on an a good neck dovetail fit on a Blues Creek D28 kit, but too much clearance over the bridge, so im making a slightly taller bridge!
