How do you people ship guitars? I'm looking for details on how you package a guitar for shipment.
Thanks,
Ed

I go to Guitar Center and get one of the empty boxes their guitars come in and that they throw away and use it. Martin (these are marked up real good with the fragile stamps) and Gibson boxes are real good but others work too.

the one thing you want to be aware of is insurance value
I insure for a replacement value in case it gets damaged. Heritage ins will insure it and if you are doing this as a business it is worth the cost of the premium.
I use UPS to ship. So far in 15 years only 1 guitar got damaged . I used their ins and it was not to difficult to get paid for the damage.
Don't ship when it is brutally cold and put in lots of packing, crushed paper anything that fills the voids,
