Back and top alignment to neck block

Dang. I should have known better. Probably distracted by Santa coming down the chimney, but anyhow, I got the neck block longitudinal centerline 0.65" out of alignment (side-to-side) with the sides joint. I'm now ready for the top and back to go on. I presume I should align the top/back to the neck block centerline and forget about lining up with the sides joint. Am I on the right path?

I am assuming that the heel block mortise was pre-routed. If that is so where is the bock center in relationship to the shape of the guitar? Where the sides meet is less important as long as it is under the neck heel. .65" inch is a bunch for the neck to be off center. If the sides truly meet in the center and it is the block that is off then I would consider removing the block and re-gluing it on centered. With so little information I may misunderstand.

I could blame my keyboard, but it was me... The neck block is 0.065" not 0.65" out of alignment. (half an inch would be an easy choice - pull off and re-do). Thanks John for the response. The misalignment is so small that I'm not sure it would be noticeable. The upper bouts won't be perfect symmetrical match.

.065" is a different case. I did one time have an issue where I had my pre-routed mortise and tenon neck block skewed a bit. I did not notice it until I was fitting the neck. I chiseled out one side of the mortise and shimmed the other side such to correct the issue, allowing the neck to go in straight.

That is a good fix John, at 1/16" it probably won't even be noticed once together.
