Unglue neck block?

Feeling like the idiot of the year here. I glued the neck block wrong in an inauspicious start to guitar 2. How should I go bout undoing this bone head move?

Use an iron to heat the sides over the block while very gently working in a thin spatula or putty knife between the rims and the block. Take your time and allow the heat to do its work, without charring the sides though. What was wrong with how you glued it?
