Purchased some martin 028vs plans from ultimate guitar plans.
The only issue so far is that the side template does not seems to match with the top
template. Sides seem to be a few inches short. Has anyone else had any experience with
these plans? I have other plans for ooo and dreadnought from Stew-mac and don't have that issue...
but they didn't have the 028vs plans. The fix is easy, simply extend the ends to
match the center of the body, but it has me doubting the overall accuracy of the plans.

thanks,,, Will

Can't say, I've bought plans from them but not the 028vs. Mine were OK.

Thanks for the response Tim. I checked it again...about 1 inch off at the tail block,
all other measurements match. Like I said, fix is easy...in fact I'm making a new template
that is adding distance at each end...I can always trim wood, very hard to stretch it.

Is there anyone at Ultimate Guitar Plans you can contact to ask about this? Seems they should correct this error if they are selling plans.

Yes Darryl you are right. I will try to contact someone...could be some kind of error on my part,
but I don't see how. I am wrapping the paper side template around the top template
(I made a plexiglas template for the top already). Lower bout, center of waist and upper bout marks all line up
if I place the template starting center of the head block. Approx. 1 inch short at the
tail block. Made new template on paper with added wood for head and tail blocks.

We shall see...
