first build: stewmac spray can spitting

Hi all. i bought the stewmac finishing kit and just did my first coat using the sanding sealer spray can and hope i didn't screw the pooch. the spray tip was an absolute nightmare, spitting out massive globs of sealer along w the spray. thus, i have small dark spots all over the guitar. i feel like i want to throw up, things have gone great up to this point. With every pass i inverted the can and emptied the chamber which helped only slightly.
questions:
1. has anyone else had this problem?
2. will it dissapear w/ further clear coating?
3. if not, can i sand some of it away? (put vintage amber stain on front so cant sand too much)

i'm somewhat paralized w/ fear to even attempt another coat, any tips would be appreciated
thanks all
Jim

you can call them and ask for a replacement , they are old and there are solids on the bottom. The good thing is that the bumps will all sand out during the leveling process

I have used them for 5 guitars so far. Make sure you put them in hot water for a few minutes. It helps it spray cleaner. Seems as if it thins it slightly.

Also, you can swap the spray nozzle from another can and then put it back. I have done this on cans that were partially used and nozzle was not fully clean.
