fret slots too deep?

I bound a fretboard a while back and used purfling as well as the binding. I glued on the purfling first and ran a fret saw throught the slots and thus though the purfling before installing the binding to allow the slot to continue throught the purfling up to but not through the binding as is standard practice.
However, upon recent inspection of the bottom of the fret board I noticed the slot coming through to the bottom of the purfling which is very slightly higher (not quite flush) than the bottom of the FB. I measured the depth and it looks like I sawed the fret slots too deep and almost right through the FB Theres only a hair left between the bottom of a couple of the slots and the bottom of the FB.
Is this FB a right off? Will it break at the slot when I hammer the frets in?
