Ebony Bindings
Need to bend rather thick ebony bindings for the guitar I’m building ( 0.08 inch thick ). Using a Fox type bender I got from John Hall. Any recommendations on temperature etc to optimize success?

Re: Ebony Bindings
I’ve bent ebony bindings on that bender a few times and haven’t had them break while bending. But they are brittle and I’ve broken a few while mishandled them during install. They will snap if you drop it or catch them on something. I bend the lower bout @240F and the upper around 250-260f including cutaway too. Then bring up to 325, then reduce to 250f for 15 min. My last set was .08”. They look great when done.
