You can't go wrong picking up a copy of Bill Cory's book on assembling Kit Guitars. He originally started this forum, and designed the book(s) to be specific to the kits currently available on the market. It will give you a really good understanding of each step, the processes, and the expected results.

I have just about finished a stew Mac ukulele kit and found it to be a great introduction to building a kit instrument. Good, fairly basic and pretty quick build. I got a DVD with it that was very helpful. Isn't all that expensive really.

I am just getting ready to start my first 000 kit and have found myself thinking too much. Tonight's forum reading inspired me to quit thinking and just start building.
