Stephen Boone mini planes

Post by krrtlr1 »

Is Stephen Boone still making his mini planes? None of the places listed seem to be selling them any more. All info just ceased with the exception of some YouTube videos from the early 2000 teens.

Thank you,
Tracy

Tracy
I don't know about Boone's situation but
You can make your own planes pretty easily. I have made about a dozen. Some block plane sizes and a few mind's like his. 1/2" ans 3/4" wide irons.
If you'd like to try it I can help you start. I have a plan I can share too.

Hi Kevin,

That would be great. I’ve been watching some of his videos.
Thank you for the share.

I use inexpensive chisels from HF for the irons....bevel up
Any hardwood will work
I'll get the plans off my laptop tomorrow.

If you aren't in the mood to make one, this miniature plane is quite nice:https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/to ... em=05P8220
They have a whole line of miniature planes.

Beautiful! Those are works of art Kevin. Thank you for sharing. I want to build the little one front right with the lowered front.

Thank you all for your links and pointers
