Canadian spiral carbide bits

Post by Stray Feathers »

For forum members in Canada, Skookum Tools/Online Supply is now selling solid carbide spiral bits (smallest is 1/16" so far) made in Canada by Royce, which makes high quality carbide saw blades. Prices seem not bad but I have not compared widely. But avoiding shipping from the US and brokerage at the border makes a difference, and if you believe in "shopping local", here's an option. I buy small diameter end mills and ball nose bits from Kodiak cutting tools in upstate NY. They make TINY little bits.
The only problem is that they don't make downshear bits, but in the smaller sizes that's not really an issue.
I get most the rest of my bits from Magnate.
