I found one of these T & G kits in my tool drawer today. Have never used it. If anyone wants it, they can have it for the cost of the mail. Probably $5-$7. e-mail me at

I just received the polishing film from the link that I left above. It is identical to what came in the Ginex fret polishing kit. Each sheet will equal 4 to use with the tool, so in essence you'll have 4 sets.

Thanks to Bob and Diane for this! I will report back once I've used it.
If anyone is interested in the concept there is something similar being sold by D.Drew guitars - a block of wood with two metal dowels embedded. I was going to experiment with a home made version if the Thomas & Ginex kit had not shown up.

I think you could easily make a tool. Just make sure they're truly parallel to each other. I think dowels that are in the vicinity of 5/16" would be perfect.
