Metric rulers
I have built 3 electric and one acoustic guitar. I am having fun and often frustrated [thanks for the help John ... he is wonderful]. I am starting to build a classical guitar. All of the other guitars have been kits. I am now starting with a pile of raw wood from an old friend who is a luthier. The wood is 50+years old and sings! Cut to the chase..... has anyone purchased and used a scale that is at least 320mm long that they would recommend? The scale for the classical I am going to (try to) build is 628.65 mm. I have looked on line and have not been satisfied with the search results. Thank you in advance for your help. I am looking for a solid/stiff rule, but I will appreciate anything anyone can suggest. Thank you.

Re: Metric rulers
If you're willing to spend upwards of 50 bucks, https://www.mcmaster.com/rulers/system- ... th~450-mm/ has some possibilities.

Re: Metric rulers
The Lee Valley US site has them, some very affordable, and Starrett for less than $50:

I have found pretty significant discrepancies in some stationery store "rulers" so it pays to buy a good one. There is an earlier thread here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8283&p=46426#p46426 Bruce W.

Re: Metric rulers
this opens a door for learning something. There is a difference between a SCALE and a RULER
rulers are in general a measuring device but not alway accurate
A SCALE is.
so you want to get a scale.

Re: Metric rulers
I have used Taylor Toolworks blemished/cosmetic seconds for PEC rulers at a reasonable cost.
