Hello. Just thought I'd share a photo of the body cradle I just built over the weekend. Made from scrap wood I had laying around my shop, cork, and about $1.50 in bolts/wingnuts. Certainly does the job!

Thank you very much. Very simple and done w scrap I had laying around. Tonight I'm tackling the rosette/soundhole cutting jig.

This is my version of a body jig which has taken a little bit of trial and error to get right. It works well enough but the flush cut bit I bought was an upcut bit as you can see from the body next to it. I used stick on felt pads instead of cork.
The prototype Binding router jig is simple; there are two legs counter balanced by the two weights in the top left corner running over pulleys on the ceiling. There were originaly three legs, but I hadn't thought it all the way through, the third support point was actually the guitar body and the third leg stopped it working smoothly. You can probably see where I cut off the rear leg. I wanted dust collection but the router chucks the stuff out so fast it didn't work. Shame, I'll just wear a mask.
Lastly there is a picture of a Parkside router combination cutter which I got from a Lidl store. It cost something like £24.99 and I had a voucher for £5 so that was helpful (About $20? in all) It uses spiral milling bits and rotates around a central pin which is just in front of the black handle on the left. It comes with the adjustable foot shown and if it is taken off of the circle cutting attachment can be used for cutting channels for inlays.
