I purchased a new band saw for my shop. SHOP FOX W1729 and G0514X2 19". The shop fax is 2 HP and the Grizz 3. I upgraded the Grizzly to ceramic guides. The Shop fox has them as standard item. I can say that they seem comparable in quality, Both work well and after a few hours expect to readjust the belts as they wear in. The dust collection seems fair though I wish that was better. I had a Walker turner before and that was a dust bomb.
Both run smooth. I will be adding lights. Adjustments are easy , the only gripe I have is the rip fence is a little wimpish but I can say when ripping , you can see the saw cut stay parallel to the fence.
Both are wired to 220.
