A friend highly recommended this hand scraper from Lee Valley for scraping finish where bridges and fretboard extensions are to be glued. I have not tried that yet, but yesterday I was trying to level bindings and purflings on an OM, especially on the body sides. A cabinet scraper was helpful, but I remembered this tool and tried it, and it is a wonder. I will refine the work with cabinet scraper and sanding but this did some heavy lifting very well. Three interchangeable and replaceable carbide blades. It has a nice heft to it, too, which makes the scraping easier. Bruce W.

Re: Detail Hand Scraper
Nice. I've bought a couple of the "luth hoe" scrapers from Gerber guitars for similar jobs. He makes really small ones that are great for tight places.
