Veritas Pocket Plane
For some time I have been eyeing Lee Valley's low-angle "Apron Plane" as a useful addition for guitar work. I dithered long enough that Lee Valley introduced a new and smaller model they call a "Pocket Plane". I bought one (my first new plane ever) and it is even more pretty than I expected from Veritas - even though it is not a glamour model. I have used it some, mostly levelling bindings on my current build, but not enough for a thorough review. But I'm very happy with it so far. Photo shows its size compared with my inherited Stanley block plane. Even after a short introduction, I can recommend it. Bruce W.

Re: Veritas Pocket Plane
Tangentially related - just got a Veritas miniature shoulder plane after seeing one used on a repair video.
Haven't used mine yet either, but very nicely made.
I grabbed a hard copy of their catalog, too. Lots to drool over.
