Hello all,
After gluing the reinforcement strip to the back I cut out a notch for one of the braces. I screwed it up. Instead of making the notch .25", which would snugly fit the brace, I oversized the notch to .29". I see my choices as:
Make and use a .29" thickness brace in the oversized notch and use the other .25" braces in their individual locations. Assuming, of course, that the next 3 notches will, in fact, be properly cut to .25".
Remove part of the reinforcement strip and replace, being careful to leave a .25" notch
This brace is the one seen through the soundhole so although a shim would work, it would not look great.
Any other possible remedies?

Re: Back reinforcement strip
I have replaced the majority of the gap, re-cut, sanded and the patch is invisible. I use a small wedge to close the gap.
