It's good to be a repeat customer

Post by koolimy »

I just finished up a Spruce/Sycamore 000-12 fret kit from Mr. Hall at Blues Creek Guitars, and it is a doozy! It's still settling in to its sound but the sound I get from it really hits the spot for me. It has powerful bass but smooth, clear highs and it sounds amazing when played with my fingers, which I do 90% of the time.

This is my 4th kit with Mr. Hall. The interesting thing is, I'm finding that the more I order kits from him, the more the kits suit my needs and wants! My 3rd and 4th guitars are the best guitars I've made yet, and that's partially because Mr. Hall nailed the design components w/ the rosette, headplate, and bindings, etc., and because he has been providing me with tops that really really suit my playing style. I can't emphasize enough how much I enjoy my third and fourth guitars, which to me sound as good (and sometimes even better) than the mega high priced guitars on youtube.

I know I shill for Mr. Hall a bit too much but it's hard not to. He's such a pleasant person and an amazing resource for people like me who don't really have the space or time to build from scratch to still enjoy this hobby. The customization options available really makes me feel like I'm ordering my own custom guitar every time I put in an order with him, except I get to do the fun part of making the guitar itself! LOL. And the more I order from him, the better the guitars get!

Thanks Mr. Hall and those of you who are on the fence go order a kit or something from Blues Creek!

Well, the more I learn about building the guitar the more I understand how important the top is. And each time the top has become more and more suitable for my needs, so I have to give you the credit and thanks for that!

Really appreciate your guidance and most importantly your kindness and friendship!
