Rickenbacker clone.

Post by whd1952 »

Hello from Atlanta! i was wondering has anyone built from a kit a Rickenbacker 325 clone from a kit? I have one coming around Aug. 10 from Popular Guitars and it's a 325 clone. mahogany body, maple neck. The neck is 22 frets, not the short scale. I am going to finish it in gloss black and if I can put as much Rickenbacker parts in it as I can.
I am retired, both Military and Civilian. Nothing but time to finally do what I like. Any ideas, tips anyone can offer would be appreciated.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. Everyone here is friendly and helpful. I'm a disabled Veteran. Thank you doe your service.

I've not built a Rickenbacker; I've repaired several electrics and rewired many I have, and am in the process of, restoring 335 and 339 style semi-hollow body guitars. We have a couple of electric builders on the forum that I'm sure will help.. I have an old cheap 1961 335 clone coming, that I don't feel the need to restore, so I'll be tearing into it, making modifications.

Relax and have fun. The only stupid question is one that goes unasked.
