acoustic 6 string pickup?

It turns out that the Dean Markley Sweetspot under-saddle pickup in my son's 1981 Guild D35 is causing noise and needs to be replaced. I'm asking for input: what you do, what you like, what you'd like to do. My local music store carries L. R. Baggs, Fishman, and a non-powered pickup, K & K I think. There are under-saddle types or those you glue under the bridge.... As a builder, my only experience is with a L. R. Baggs 5.0 in a tenor ukulele. I chose that for its good natural tone reproduction.

I welcome your wisdom.

My luthier friend Carter recommends one that has 3 pickups that you glue to the bridge plate just behind the pins. I unfortunately don't remember the brand.

JJB electronics offer very similar transducers to K&K but cheaper. I'm installing three of them in my current builds.

I use almost exclusively mi-si under saddle pickups. They are quite unique as the pickup has a built in pre amp but does not require batteries. Rather, it uses a super capacitor to store the energy. The pickups are relatively affordable and the company gives great service. Check them out at mi-si.com!
