I'm thinking about getting some abalone rosettes from Andy DePaule but I'm concerned about the size.
The size they have listed for the Two and Three ring Rosettes seems way to big for me http://www.luthiersupply.com/pearlrosetteinlaypage.html
I've never worked with shell before, should I just rout the channel to the size I want and snap the rosette pieces into place.

I like andy and buy a good bit of pearl from him. I prefer the straight pearl and break in the pearl. The few precut rosettes I did use actually show the joints the more than the snap and break.
