00 Body Dimensions

Any website etc. that lists detailed dimensions of the Martin 00 body? Lookin for depth at the neck block. While I have a tracing from John H. of the bracing and most sites list the deepest body dimension (at the tail block), not sure where to find this type info......and I don't know anyone that has a 00 to measure myself.

Suprisingly, the sites I've checked shot the depth of a 00 body at the tail is 4 1/8"......same as a 000. Not sure if the depth at the neck block is the same. I would have guessed the 00 body to be thinner. Anyone seen/used a thinner 00 body? Did you like it?

Neck at 14th fret, neck block 3 3/16" --- inner waist curve 3 9/16" ---- tail 4"

Neck at 12th fret, neck block 3 1/4" ---- inner waist curve 3 13/16" ---- tail 4 1/8"

Plus the thickness of the sound-board and back plate

Thanks! I'll probably go with 4" at the tail block (14 fret body with 12 fret neck). Not sure which dimension I'll use at the neck........but they aren't far apart.

Off topic, but I noticed Dana as well as other custom builders (Mario Proulx etc.) use a little longer scale than Martin on their dreadnaughts. Even their short scale is 25" instead of 24.9".

Think their doing this to get the string tension up a little and have a bit more energy available to drive the soundboard?
