Darren,
I forget, are you bending by hand? Those sides look perfect.

Yeah Kevin, you and I pretty much have the same bender setup -you can see mine in the background of the picture a few posts up.Kevin Sjostrand wrote:Darren,

So far I've bent Mad.Rose., Ebony, Koa, Peruvian Walnut and two sets of EIR with this setup -and I'm starting to realize why EIR is so recommended for beginners. It really does bend so much easier than anything else.
thanks for the comments!

Yeah Darren, I see it. I thought you had made a bender similar to mine.
So at least there are a couple of us out there who want to "feel" our wood bend. :>)
Keep it up.

I like the idea of glueing the blocks outside of the mold. On my Dread I glued the blocks with the rim in the mold and it was a bit of a PITA. OK, I'm going to let my ignorance hang out here, what is the difference of an L-OO and a Martin style OO?

David, the L-OO is a Gibson body shape. I don't have the measurements, but John or Ken could specifically say the difference in waist, bouts, etc. To my eye, the Gibson isn't quite as small as the Martin, but I haven't held them both at once. (that would be a trick, wouldn't it.)

Re: 'nother L-OO
The white half template is the Gibson L00 the full template is a Martin "00" that attaches as the 14th fret -- There is also a Martin"00" that has the neck attached at the 12th fret. We sell more of the 12th configuration kits. The L00 Gibson is also very popular. As you can see the L00 is a little longer and a little wider.

I'm surprised how close the two body types are to each other.
Ken, what size soundhole is on the L-00? Thanks!

Ken, thank you for the images.
Brian, I can't say I know what the wattage is but I remember getting the highest one I could find, probably at Lowes. They sure get hot, I think I measured mine at 425 once.
Darryl, the soundhole is 100mm on the Grellier plans.

Re: the Gibson L-00, depending on the day of the week and the phase of the moon, it could have been a 12 fret, 13 fret or 14 fret.
