The black locust guitar I built bent just fine with John's recipe.
I had some issues with cracking when I resawed my sets from boards. That was more an issue with the particular lumber I was working with. Bending worked out fine.
My BL guitar sits about 5 feet from me right now. 000 12 fret that I keep at work for lunch time practice every day. Great sounding tonewood. It's on my list to use again. There are probably pictures on here of mine.

Windex with Ammonia-D is as rare as hens' teeth in my area, as is 10% ammonia (for fuming).
I can't find the msds for Ammonia-D, but, since I have it in route anyway, I will also try fuming a sample of BL with it, as well as bending.
