This one I know and it is a real toughie.
In fact, KGF will send a prize to the first Member who submits the correct answer.
This contest expires Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at 12 Noon, EST.
Winner pays $5. to cover shipping cost of the prize.
In fairness to everyone, KGF advertisers, their employees, or members of their families are ineligible.

Talk about trippy, try this, put your icon on top of the picture and click and see what comes up. Looks like Saudi Arabia desert sands while doing acid. Not that I know what it's like to do acid but after all I am a child of the music era of Hendrix, Zeppelin, Floyd, Bowie, et al.. So I uh, um, er, ah, heard you know, stories, yeah that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Anyway back from memory lane, it actually looks like plain old american Walnut to me but it couldn't be that easy.

No Kevin it's Luan Mahogany. Down here where I live the word Luan doesn't refer (not to be confused with reefer Kevin) to a species of wood but is a generic term for any thin plywood usually consisting of only three plys and is commonly used in cheaply made hollow doors for the inside of a house but is also used in many other applications.
