A local small wood store is closing in the next 2 weeks and has some nice stuff at 25% off. I parused the shop with
a friend on Saturday.
A large billet of Zebrawood, quartersawn, 12" wide and about 5 ft. long, 8/4. It was beautiful.
I didn't even ask him what he wanted for it. Should I?? Does Zebrawood make a good guitar?
I could probably get 8 to 10 b & s sets from that billet. I'd have to be able to sell some off.
He also has a 12" quarter sawn sitka spruce billet that is about 48", also 8/4 he got for some guy who
was going to make a cello. It looked pretty good, probably make AA to AAA grade tops. I told him
I was interested in it, but didn't ask him the price. He'll call me if they cello guy can't take it.
Lots of other exotics. Wish I had a boat load of money.

Re: Zebrawood and such
I have some Zebra wood. I haven't built with it yet but I think it will make some fine guitars.
You never know what you are capable of until you actually try....

Yep, please ask what he wants for it and if he minds you taking photos of it and if he might ship it out to NJ........Kevin Sjostrand wrote:A large billet of Zebrawood, quartersawn, 12" wide and about 5 ft. long, 8/4. It was beautiful.
