Tamarkin for Cases?

Post by jrc127 »

Just wondering what experience you'ns (I'm not from Pittsburgh) had with buying cases from Tamarkin. I'll be calling them tomorrow for pricing on a case for my 000 which is just about complete. Let me know about prices, sales help, shipping etc. I assume they will sell a single case to a KGF member. Thanks.

Hey James,
I have talked to them and they will sell a single case. I did not yet purchase one so I can't comment on that.

They were very quick with sending me their pricing PDF's. Pricing seems reasonable and the quality appears good "on paper." I'll be buying some soon to some current builds.

I spoke with John at Tamarkin today. He was very helpful. He didn't have a flattop 000 case in stock but has some coming in from the manufacturer in Canada in a few weeks. His prices are very reasonable and I'll probably order one when they arrive. So far, so good.

Received the 000 case from Tamarkin yesterday. It is the same build and quality of the TKL case I have for my Epiphone 335. Made in Canada, but no other manufacturers mark. TKL's are made in Canada too. A very nice case for less than $90 including shipping, much less than the retail I paid for the TKL. John at Tamarkin is very helpful and responsive to luthiers. Recommended.
