J-41 Special

Post by Darryl Young »

Anyone know what "Special" signifies in J-41 Special? What kind of wood is used for back and sides? I found out today a friend owns one of these but I haven't seen it in person.

I believe it is East Indian Rosewood ,Sitka top, From what I heard they are really nice sounding guitars! I want one. The Special refers to the vintage series treatment given to it.

Thanks JV. I think you are correct. I finally found a write up on this model. Sounds nice.
