My shop today, and a question

Post by JRHall »

Got to spend some time in the shop this weekend, and just thought I'd post a picture of the shop.

Also, are there any others in the Columbia, SC area who would be interested in getting together occasionally?

I know as a community, luthiers are spread pretty thin, so anyone, beginners or experience, I'd like to hear from you.

I am so far removed from the instrument building world down here I might as well be living on another planet. I don't think these coon-asses down here can even spell luthier.

Yeah, I wish I was close enough for a get together. I know it would be fun. I only know of one old timer luthier in a close by town that I have not been able to make contact with.

Not a speck of sawdust to be seen in that photo.
My workshop is at least 40% sawdust.........

Hey JR,
I'd be glad to visit next time I'm down there. I have to get my No Name Deli fix taken care of fairly often along with making business calls in Cola. It would take a month of weekends and an Industrial fan (think Wind Tunnel) to get close to your level of squared away.
