Kind of funny, you wonder how it happens.....

I was amused by this.....and a little disappointed.
I placed an order for some stuff from Stewmac, mostly since I needed a new router bit from them. Part of the order was for three AAA spruce tops....special price for 3 or more. The boxes come today, and there is not a box big enough for the tops, but there is a long box about 6" wide. I open it up, and inside there are no spruce tops, but there are 3 sets of EIR sides.....the invoice is in the box clearly printed upon it, "3 sets of AAA spruce tops". How can the person packaging the order get this wrong? The part numbers are not even close!!!!! They are however really nice EIR sides...............
I sent them an email, I know they will fix it. Just thought I'd share.

when you figure they person pulling the order knows only what is in front of him , I doubt that he is a luthier it happens. Stew Mac is a good company and will make it right . It does happen I even send out wrong stuff I may be tired or may have sprayed lacquer without a mask.

Oh yes John, I know, I have done the same thing many times....strange things our mind can do to us!!

I called Stewmac this morning, and all will be well! I discovered last night that I needed a new .090" router bearing, so they are sending that along with the replacement tops....at least I don't have to pay $10 shipping for a $5.77 bearing!!!!
I wish they'd let me keep the sides....would make nice binding strips, but they're sending a prepaid return label. :>)

Because they wont pay warehouse workers enough to get some people in there that are smart enough (or care enough) to know the difference.
