Kinda fun to watch. i've never been very adept at finger picking, but for some reason seeing from this angle makes it a bit easier for my brain to process...

Going back to the 'shiny on the inside' thread, it's hard to say, but it looks like the ole Olsen has some shellac on the inside (braces are shiny!)

It is cool to watch, but I would sure have trouble following the picking hand. I would rather have the sheet music or tab.

The way he plays the F is what lead me away from fingerstyle folk music toward classical. I cut the tendon in my left thumb years ago and it does not bend at the top joint. So I was never able to make the C to F progression by bending my thumb over the 6 th string. I needed convert many of the folk lessons to play with full bar cords.

That is a very cool camera angle. It brought tears to my eyes seeing James so old! One of the first songs I learned to finger pick on my old Ventura dred was "Fire & Rain". I still love that song.
