Oh man...

Post by Jim_H »

I'm not generally fond of linking ebay auctions, but this is one I had to share!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Guitar-partial- ... 500wt_1413

The description
Guitar partial kit giant-sized wrote:This is a partial kit, and the guitar will be at least 22 inches across at the lower bout when completed! That is huge! Included are 3 pieces of solid mahogany, and 3 pieces of solid spruce, more than enough to make the top and back. The rib assembly is glued at the tail block, but not at the neck block. The kit includes a bridge, neck block, and bolt-on neck with a truss rod. The sides are 5 and 5/8ths deep at the neck, and 5 and 9/16ths deep at the bottom. Body length will be 20 inches long. The upper bout is 19 and 5/8th inches, the waist is 19 inches and the lower bout is 22 inches! Please see my other auctions, and upcoming auctions. I will do combined shipping on most items.

That guitar needs more necks... or something...

My guess is that someone bought some serviced (pre-bent) sides and blocks, and didn't realize they had to trim them...

Ok.. its a stretch, but of all of the possibilities I could think of, it made the most sense... :p

and LOL, could you imagine build a mold for that beast?

Auction ended with no sale, but the guy is nothing if not determined...

It's been re-listed for the same price.
